for many seasons now, the clans have been entangled in constant conflict. the threat of being conquered by solarclan plagues every lunar cat's waking thoughts and dreams each night, and the damage done to the smallest clan's territory by wildfire in the wake of a drought does little to assuage this stress. as the physical and spiritual healer, it falls on aspentail's shoulders to keep his clan together... but as a cat born with ever-present anxiety and doubt, there is only so much he can do to mask his growing dread. for all that he spends his time treating the injuries caused to his clanmates by solar claws and rampant flames, their numbers grow smaller each day - and for all the nights he spends pleading with the starwalkers for a whisper of guidance, astralclan is silent. aspentail bears the weight of countless lives, and the bone-deep fear that astralclan has turned its back on him.

P H Y S I C A L

aspentail is a small, lean shorthaired cat of uncertain breed, with a slender build all the way from his facial structure down to the thickness of his tail; he looks to have stopped growing early into his apprentice years, and is considerably smaller than the other males in the clan, closer to the size of the queens instead. he is a silver tabby of medium darkness, with a stripe pattern that fades into invisibility halfway down his flanks to melt into the white underfur that covers his belly, chest, and chin, but leaves the rest of his muzzle gray, with a lighter silver nose bridge. his inner thighs and forelegs are white, as are the toes of his forepaws and the tip of his tail, but his hind paws are gray. his ears are rimmed in white, with darker ear backs that match his striping, and his eyes are a pale, icy shade of stone-blue.
due to injuries sustained in wildfires, aspentail has mottled scar tissue that spans from the inside of his right foreleg up a couple of inches on his chest and down half the length of his underbelly, concentrated on the right side. his front left paw is scarred as well, leaving the pads a messy patchwork. the tissue is a mix of light and dark thanks to the damage from the flames.
